Temporary Certificate program ends on December 31

The Temporary Certificate program ends on December 31, 2023, in accordance with provincial legislation. Eligible teacher candidates who have already applied for a Temporary Certificate, or were interested in applying, should instead request a Transitional Certificate when applications open on August 30, 2023. College members who currently hold a Temporary Certificate remain eligible to teach in Ontario’s publicly funded schools until their certificate’s expiry date, as long as they maintain their membership in good standing.
