College offers its perspectives on Bill 48, The Safe and Supportive Classrooms Act
February 25 2019
College representatives are addressing a government standing committee on Bill 48, The Safe and Supportive Classrooms Act today to offer the College’s perspectives on a number of proposed amendments.
These amendments include therapy and counselling for victims of sexual abuse by teachers, a mandatory math test for future teachers and the College’s governance structure. See the formal submission.
Later this week, College Council will consider recommendations of an independent external review of our governance structure – commissioned by the College – and will act on recommendations in the public interest.
